The app
ImposeMatic collects no personal data. The app makes no network connections. There is no account, no advertising and no usage analytics.
Your PDFs and projects stay on your Mac. The app reads the PDFs you choose and writes the print PDF and the project file to the location you choose.
On your Mac the app saves its settings, the list of recent documents and the folders you have granted access to. This information does not leave your Mac.
A project file (.impo) contains the settings of the job and, for each linked PDF, its name and location on your Mac, modification date, size and a checksum. If you pass on a project file, you pass on this information. The PDFs themselves are not part of the project file.
The reference to www.windparkbooks.de in the app is an ordinary link. It opens the page in your browser. The privacy policy of the website applies there.
App Store
The app is downloaded and updated through Apple's App Store. Apple processes data for this on its own responsibility; Apple's privacy policy applies. If you have agreed in System Settings to share data with app developers, Apple gives us aggregated information on downloads, usage and crashes. It does not identify any person.
Support by email
If you write to us, we process your email address, your name if you give it, and the content of the message with its attachments in order to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: our interest in answering requests. The emails are held by our email provider Anbieter, Deutschland, which processes them on our behalf. We delete the correspondence once the request is settled, after 12 months at the latest, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to the processing (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). A message to the address above is enough. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one where you live.
Changes
If the app changes so that it processes data, this page will say so beforehand.
